Cultural
The culture of the United States has been called a great "melting pot," as the inhabitants, with the exception of Native American people, are immigrants from every corner of the world. It is true that cultural influences and diversity are part of the scene, and that to an extent the melting pot has played a role in our culture. However, conflicts and the tension between majority rule and protection for minority rights have even been at work in a complex dynamic of political and social change.
